Why Come to Market of Marion Car Show

One of the events that the Classic Car Club hosts is the Markets of Marion car show. The Markets of Marion show is unique in that it is held just outside of The Villages on Hwy441 in Belleview, Florida, under the shade of large live oak trees. The show is hosted by the club in conjunction with Markets of Marion staff who generously provide the park-like grounds as well as offer food, drinks and transportation to the market via golf cart shuttles. The show that is put on is a major fundraiser for various club functions throughout the year as well as also raising money for several local charities. The club puts on the car show for local car enthusiasts around central Florida, with no restrictions on models or how old the car needs to be.
The show is always held on the 4th Saturday of each month, except July and August, when it’s too hot to enjoy the show.

The club members do not participate in the competition but are encouraged to bring their cars to show, and if interested, to assist in parking cars participating in the show as well as setting up and breaking down before and after the event. If members bring the wives or significant other, there is a huge shopping area to browse to their content with hundreds of stores. One of the special events that the club also hosts is Valve Cover Racing. A custom race track was built by club members and a dozen loaner race cars are on display and ready to race. This is a very popular event with local families and kids.

This is a great opportunity for club members to not only get to know fellow classic car members but to also meet many local talented car enthusiasts that bring their cars to the show and often there are attendees that include various automotive craftsmen skilled at fixing, building cars, doing paint & body work and much more. A great way to get advice or find new contacts when you need something done on your car. 

Plus, the Market of Marion management provides a great DJ so we have old time tunes for the whole show and a food booth with Dogs, Burgers, Soda and Chips for sale to the show participants. Trophies are awarded at 12pm for the top dozen non-member cars and a great time is always provided.
